The Klipsch Image X5 are the follow-up to the original Image headphones, which were the smallest in-canal noise isolating earbuds ever, from the leading name in dwelling audio and cinema sound. The new earphones come equipped with electroplated aluminum housings and are aerodynamic-shaped. The X5 is the second of Klipsch's two Image models, differing from the X10 in getting a diaphragm that is 2mm smaller and, and hundred dollars much less expensive.
In-ear sound isolating earphones are handy and can offer very high levels of audio clarity and detail. Klipsch have been steadily releasing some truly superb earphones more than the last couple of years, and the Image X5 is no exception. The X5's are compatible with iPods, iPhones and other portable devices.
The sound is a quantum leap up from the low-cost earbuds supplied with most MP3 players, with warm deep bass and a lot of detail in the trebles.
This type of earphone is created to seal in your ear canal, which indicates you can listen uninterrupted by the noise around you. Although noise-cancellation models do superior in the presence of internal combustion engines, the X5 is primarily excellent for low-level (and for this reason secure) listening in noisy outdoor places. Noise Isolating Design attenuates outside noise by an awesome 26db.
